This is one of our local restaurants. We went there six and half years ago and got overcharged and decided not to go back until very recently. But we now wish we had not bothered. We heard that things were different now. Similar to our other local restaurants, some friends told us that the meal of the day (prato do dia) was 8 euros per person including soup, bread, the main meal ie one of the "prato do dia" selection, dessert, a drink, and coffee. Unfortunately, we got swizzed again! Not 8 euros a head. We were charged 13 euros each for soup, a few slices of bread, prato do dia and one drink, This is the second time they deliberately overcharged us, but it will be the last. It seems like if they think you are a tourist they take advantage and overcharge. Unfortunately for them we are not tourists and know other people who might want to go there. Beware. The food is not worth 13 euros a head and close by are other restaurants that do not overcharge and have much better food. Our advice is that if they are not transparent about what is included in the prato do dia price, walk away.
